Kitchen Split Chimney Fan - Dwell Air
Dwell Air — Kitchen Ventilation

Kitchen Split
Chimney Fan.

Indian cooking demands more than a standard chimney motor can deliver. The Dwell Split Chimney Fan adds a heavy-duty centrifugal powerhouse to your existing exhaust line — doubling suction, eliminating grease choking, and keeping your kitchen truly clear of fumes, heat, and odour. Quietly. Reliably. For years.

Mount it anywhere. Take the noise
completely out of your home.

External Wall
Mount directly on an exterior wall. Motor noise stays outside — completely away from your kitchen and living space.
Terrace / Roof
Install on the terrace and take noise away from the entire home. Ideal for high-rise apartments where wall access is limited.
250 ft Duct Run
Maintains stable suction across long duct runs, vertical risers, and multiple bends — wherever your exhaust needs to travel.
Why it performs differently

Five reasons it outperforms every chimney upgrade you've seen.

Long duct run image
DUCT REACH
250ft
Stable suction. Across long runs, bends, and risers.

Conventional chimney motors lose suction with every bend and every metre of duct. The Split Chimney Fan maintains full extraction pressure across long runs, vertical risers, and multiple bends — exactly where Indian kitchen layouts demand it most.

Grease resistance image
GREASE PROOF
Zero
Grease choke. High velocity. Blades that stay clean.

The centrifugal impeller runs at high air velocity, actively preventing grease deposition on the blades. Unlike chimney motors that choke and slow over months of cooking, this fan maintains consistent airflow year after year — with no performance drop.

Fail-safe system image
FAIL-SAFE
Always
Two extraction paths. Zero single point of failure.

Even if your chimney motor is switched off or eventually fails, the Split Chimney Fan continues evacuating fumes independently. Your kitchen never loses ventilation — over the entire life of the system.

Silent operation image
QUIET
Silent
Installed away. Heard nowhere.

The fan is positioned on the external wall or terrace — completely outside the kitchen. Motor noise stays out of your living space entirely. Even running alone, it operates quieter than a conventional chimney motor at full speed.

Heavy duty build image
BUILT FOR INDIA
IP 65
Heavy duty. Built for the way India cooks.

IP 65 rated. Heavy-duty metal body. Ball bearings rated for 40,000 hours. Built to handle daily high-heat, high-grease Indian cooking across tadkas, deep frying, and everything in between. Not a compromise — a commitment.

Where it works hardest

Every kitchen that cooks seriously.

From compact apartment modular kitchens to independent homes with long duct runs — anywhere a standard chimney motor is struggling, the Split Chimney Fan delivers.

Image placeholder MODULAR KITCHEN
Modular Kitchens

Built-in chimneys with longer concealed duct runs and multiple bends. The Split Chimney Fan restores full extraction where the chimney motor alone cannot maintain it.

Image placeholder APARTMENTS
Apartments & High-Rise

When the exhaust shaft climbs multiple floors, conventional motors cannot maintain suction. The centrifugal fan keeps the system powerful regardless of how far the duct runs.

Image placeholder VILLAS
Independent Houses & Villas

Older homes with vertical risers, elbows, and longer horizontal runs benefit most. Transforms an underperforming chimney into a reliable high-extraction system.

Image placeholder CAFES
Cafes & Small Restaurants

Compact professional kitchens where cooking intensity is high and downtime is not an option. The fail-safe dual-fan system means extraction is always on — even during peak service.

The Split Chimney Concept

A single motor was never enough. Two is the answer.

The Dwell Split Chimney Fan doesn't replace your existing chimney — it partners with it. Here's exactly how the dual-system works.

1
The problem — your existing chimney motor is working alone

Your chimney hood has an inbuilt axial motor. It captures fumes at the source — but under Indian cooking conditions, high grease, long duct runs, and daily heat load push these small motors beyond what they were designed for. Suction drops. Noise rises. Performance degrades.

2
Your existing chimney hood and motor are retained — unchanged

There is no replacement involved. Your chimney hood stays exactly as it is, still capturing fumes at the source. The Split Chimney Fan is added to the exhaust duct line — not substituted.

3
A centrifugal fan joins the exhaust duct line — outside the kitchen

A high-suction centrifugal fan is connected into your exhaust duct and mounted on the external wall or terrace — completely outside the kitchen. It becomes the primary extraction engine, pulling air powerfully through the duct while your chimney motor handles source capture.

4
Together they extract everything — completely, on every cook

The two units in tandem effectively double the chimney's extraction capability. 1000 CMH of airflow. Duct runs up to 250 ft handled with stable suction. Grease fumes, heat, odour, and moisture — cleared completely.

5
The centrifugal fan continues independently if the chimney motor is off

If your chimney motor is switched off, or eventually fails, the Split Chimney Fan continues operating on its own. Ventilation is never interrupted. This inherent redundancy means there is no single point of failure — by design, not by accident.

Installation Options

Place it anywhere. The noise doesn't follow.

External Wall
Mount on an exterior wall. Noise stays completely outside — away from the kitchen and living space.
Terrace / Roof
Install on the terrace to remove motor noise from the entire home. Best for high-rise apartments and villas.
250 ft Run
Stable suction across long ducts, vertical risers, and multiple bends — wherever the exhaust needs to travel.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you need to know about Split Chimney.

No. It works alongside your existing chimney hood and motor - both are retained exactly as they are. The centrifugal fan is added to the exhaust duct line as an additional high-suction unit. You get source capture from the hood and powerful extraction from the centrifugal fan - together.
Yes. The fan connects into your existing exhaust duct and can be mounted on the external wall or relocated further to the terrace. Our team will assess the duct configuration during a free consultation and confirm the best installation approach before any commitment.
Because the centrifugal fan is mounted outside the kitchen entirely — on an external wall or terrace — you will not hear it from your cooking zone. It is acoustically far superior to a standard chimney motor running at full speed inside the hood.
The Split Chimney Fan continues operating independently. Your kitchen remains fully ventilated. This built-in redundancy is a core advantage of the dual-system — there is no single point of failure, and ventilation is never interrupted.
It was designed specifically for it. IP 65 protection, heavy-duty metal body, ball bearings rated for 40,000 hours, and a centrifugal impeller that resists grease accumulation at high air velocities. Indian cooking conditions were the design brief.
150mm suits most standard residential kitchen ducts. 200mm is recommended for kitchens with longer duct runs, larger hood sizes, or higher cooking intensity. If you are unsure, our team will assess your layout and advise the correct size during a free site visit — no cost involved.
Yes — and this is one of the best configurations for it. The fan on the terrace takes all motor noise completely away from the home. It is particularly well suited to vertical duct runs with multiple bends — exactly the situations where conventional chimney motors struggle most.
Minimal. High-velocity airflow prevents grease deposition on the blades, significantly extending cleaning intervals compared to a chimney motor. A basic inspection once a year is generally sufficient. The IP 65 rating means it is sealed against dust and direct water — even in outdoor mounting conditions.
