Multi-Point Master Bathrooms
Simultaneous extraction across separate zones. Pull air from your shower cubicle, bathtub area, and WC simultaneously using branch ducting connected to a single central DCIF fan.
Multi-Bathroom Shared Ventilation
One powerful fan serving two washrooms. Connect two adjacent bathrooms to a single DCIF 150 or DCIF 200 via a Y-splitter, maintaining strong suction across both grilles without cross-talk.
Residential Kitchen General Exhaust
Evacuating ambient cooking heat, steam, and aromas. Vents general cooking heat, boiling steam, and lingering food smells from modular open kitchens and enclosed pantry areas through long ceiling runs.
Multi-Story Vertical Building Risers
Driving exhaust upward to terrace terminations. Easily overcomes backpressure, downdrafts, and exterior wind resistance in apartment utility shafts where air must travel up to the roof.
High-Footfall Commercial Restrooms
Continuous 12 to 18 hour non-stop odor evacuation. Designed for corporate offices, diagnostic labs, and retail washrooms where external rotor motors run continuously without thermal degradation.
Enclosed Utility Balconies & Laundries

Common Questions About Dwell DCIF
Clear, factual answers on sizing, acoustics, German ebm-papst motor engineering, and ceiling maintenance.
What makes the German ebm-papst motor in the DCIF special?
ebm-papst is the world leader in ventilation motor technology. The external rotor motor in the Dwell DCIF features precision dynamic balancing, high electrical efficiency, and ultra-durable ball bearings rated for 40,000+ hours of continuous duty. It runs with remarkably low vibration and maintains steady airflow across extreme duct lengths.
Can one DCIF fan ventilate multiple bathrooms or multiple points in one bathroom?
Yes. This is one of the biggest advantages of DCIF. Because its centrifugal impeller develops massive static pressure, you can run branch ducting from a single DCIF 150 or 200 to pull air simultaneously from a shower enclosure and a WC, or from two separate adjacent washrooms. Sizing the fan correctly ensures strong, balanced suction at every grille.
Why is a galvanized steel metal casing better for ducted ventilation?
Galvanized steel offers superior rigidity, fire resistance, and dimensional stability. It withstands warm cooking exhaust, resists building settling vibrations, and does not crack or degrade in dark, humid service shafts. It also provides excellent acoustic dampening against low-frequency motor hum.
How far can the DCIF push exhaust air?
The DCIF is engineered to maintain active air velocity across duct runs up to 250 feet, overcoming the resistance of internal duct friction, multiple 90° elbows, flexible duct corrugations, and exterior gravity louvers.
Does the fan require an external speed controller?
No. Dwell recommends selecting the exact fan model that matches your room volume and duct layout so the fan operates at its peak aerodynamic efficiency on a standard single-speed switch. This eliminates unnecessary controller costs, humming motor noise from low-cost triac dimmers, and complex electrical wiring.
How do I maintain the fan once the false ceiling is closed?
Always install a standard 300 × 300 mm access panel in the false ceiling directly beneath the fan. The fan external rotor motor and backward-curved impeller naturally resist dust and grease accumulation. During routine annual maintenance, open the inspection hatch and wipe down the impeller blades without dismantling the duct connections.
